The BORESHA-NABAD programme, through RACIDA Kenya, is facilitating partial scholarships to support unemployed youth in Mandera County in accessing short-term Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses.
This opportunity is designed to strengthen youth skills, enhance self-reliance, and expand pathways to employment and entrepreneurship within local markets.

- Closing Date: 16th September 2025
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be Kenyan citizens, aged 18–35, residing in Mandera County.
- Have admission to a recognised TVET institution (3–6 month short courses).
- Be able to meet part of the training cost (accommodation, meals, and transport).
- Note: The scholarship covers tuition and examination fees only.
- Women and persons living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Priority will be given to courses such as masonry, plumbing, motor vehicle mechanics, welding, mobile repair, catering, beauty & fashion, agriculture, and electrical appliance repair (including green energy technologies).
Application Requirements
Applicants must provide:
- Completed application form.
- Copy of National ID/Passport or waiting card.
- Certified institutional fees structure.
- Certified academic certificates/result slips (primary or secondary) and school leaving certificate.
- Letter demonstrating financial need (from Area Chief or local religious leader).
