BORESHA STAKEHOLDERS MEETING THAT WAS HELD IN MANDERA ON 17.11.2021.

The local administrations of the borderland’s areas of Kenya (Mandera County), Somalia (Dollow and Belet Hawa) and Ethiopia (Dolo Ado and Dolo Bai), together with the community representatives, and BORESHA team declare that cross border approach in Resilience programming is very relevant for borderland areas. BORESHA success is attributed to the strong engagement with all stakeholders, to timely flow of information and to the transparency of the process.

We, stakeholders, assure to continue working with BORESHA for cross border work.We, stakeholders, want to underline how conflict management component is essential in resilience work and we recommend that future resilience programming always include conflict management elements.

We stakeholders, propose responsive programming that address the needs of community members around emergency response, water interventions and livelihood activities. We stakeholders, request more cross border coordination is facilitated to enable better coordinated planning and work in the cross-border area. Finally, we agree to have our next BORESHA stakeholders meeting in Dollow within 6 months.
